Participants will engage in group project work designed to facilitate the transfer of knowledge. And, to wrap it up, you will take to the stage to deliver your findings to the CMA Shipping audience!
The Process
Session Title: Fine-tuning the Voice for the Maritime Industry
In this session, we listen to the next-gen discuss some of the most effective communication tactics for the Maritime Industry which are likely to get us where we need to go.
This looks at offering a key to talent attraction and retention challenges.

Objectives of the project:
Students will be tasked with presenting to the CMA Shipping audience their take on new media and the type of communication that speaks to them – i.e. Tik Tok, YouTube, etc.
- Insights into how your peers seek out info – exemplify ideally by work ahead of the conference – survey/ interviews.
- What maritime content is available to you across these platforms (if any) – how does it compare to other industries? What is missing?
- How would you communicate / how would you like to be communicated to once you enter the industry? – exemplify by producing some content tailored for/ published on one of these platforms.
